LEAVE A LEGACY
The reality is that most gifts in Wills are made by ordinary, hardworking people who want to make a positive difference to their community and to other people’s lives.
When you choose to leave a gift in your Will to the New Zealand Flying Doctor Trust, no matter how large or small the gift, we guarantee that your generosity will continue to save lives beyond your own lifetime.
The New Zealand Flying Doctor Trust is a registered charity and funds the New Zealand Flying Doctor Service that saves lives everyday. We need community donations and gifts in Wills to continue to provide a free 24/7 Air Ambulance Service.
The process of leaving a Gift in your Will is simple and must be conducted through your solicitor who will help you turn your wishes into words. The Public Trust also prepares Wills at no cost.
You will need to reference the full name of our charity “New Zealand Flying Doctor Trust” and our charity registration number “CC55282“. If you already have a will, your solicitor may just need to draw up a codicil – an addition or amendment to your will. This codicil will then need to be incorporated into your will.
You may wish to speak to your family and friends about your decision, so they can support the achievement of your charitable goals when the time comes. Rest assured that it can be your choice to be acknowledged or you can request confidentiality around any gifts left to the New Zealand Flying Doctor Trust.
It is up to you whether you tell us if you have left the New Zealand Flying Doctor Trust a gift in your Will but it can be helpful for us to have this information so we can plan effectively for the future, and so that we have the opportunity to acknowledge and thank you appropriately.
If appropriate, we are also able to arrange a time for a one-on-one chat about your bequest intentions and how your gift will make a difference to the community.
